We finally made it round to BCL after hearing rave reviews from all different people, and it lived up to the hype! The Food was amazing and the cocktails even more so! Very Impressed.
The Degustation is the best way to try all their menu (if you haven't been before) and we will be going back again very soon to try their pizza's (the pork belly pizza sounds divine! )

BCL is a little tricky to get to, basically in the locally named 'Asian Alley' (basically the one alley which features every Asian restaurant you could imagine) and then go up the outside stairs and it in the middle.

Sydney Macaron's

The Great Macaron Debate! Laduree or Zumbaron's  ?

Laduree

Adriano Zumbo Macaron's
http://adrianozumbo.com/the-star-menu/

The Way I See this debate, Laduree is good for Classic Flavours, Zumbo is out of the box with his flavours, such as recently I tried of his, Tequila, Lemon & Salt Macaron, Malted Milk Macaron & Salted Butter Popcorn Macaron. Highly Yum!!

Also of Zumbo's we have had Mr Tom Brown - DIVINE!!  As well as Dirty Dani, not bad, Lemon Tart - Very Yum, and a pistachio tart which was not bad either. If you are ever in Sydney, The Zumbo at The Star Hotel & Casino is worth visiting, and take lots of money!!

We came for Lunch to Aria, after months of trying to make it to Brisbane! We had the Seasonal Tasting Menu which featured 7 tantalizing courses and the view was perfect.
We where lucky that they were rather quiet for lunch and allowed us to have Seared Scallops instead of the Artichoke Salad (which I would not have eaten anyway), however they firmly stated it was a once off, nonetheless, impressed that they could accommodate :)
Smoked Ocean Trout - Perfect

Seared Scallops - amazing!

Tiger Prawn with Buttermilk & Caviar Sauce - so so very yum

Peking Duck Consomme with Duck Dumplings - amazing

Pork Belly with Green Tomato & Jalapeno Salad - yum

Beef Fillet with Braised Beef Cheeks - Rich and Hearty

Pre- Dessert, So Amazing, Vanilla & Date concoction

Panna Cotta with Rhubarb & Strawberry Sorbet

Will Happily Visit again! However do not park underneath during the day, they do not validate parking tickets (ridiculous as we spent over $300 on lunch and still had to pay $75 for parking ?! ) Not impressed about that, but everything else was amazing, highly recommend!

There is only one, 10 Course Set menu you can have, and it is worth having. This restaurant was rated the best in the world and I can see why. Everything on the menu was AMAZING.
The menu changes regularly.
The Decor was also amazing, and surrounded by a Japanese Garden. Just Beautiful.

Signature Dish - Confit Ocean Trout

Sashimi Salad

I was a little disappointed after waiting for 3 months just to get a reservation during the week, let alone there is a 6 month wait for the weekends.... (crazy) I mean the food was good, but after such a wait I was expected to be WOWED and the consistency in heaviness of flavors between the 3 of us dining, was very obvious. We had the Quay Tasting Menu at a whooping $225 pp!!

Mud Crab Congee - Very Nice
Beetroot Salad - Didnt Like

Red Claw Yabbies - Very Nice

Roast Goose - Ok

Pig Cheek - Mine was heavily over smoked, one was perfect and the other was in between the two.

Veal with Black Chocolate Pudding - Ok

Citrus & Almonds - Nice

Guava Snow Egg
The Snow Egg is a Masterpiece of the menu, and the view was great, however the overall meal was not what I expected.

Another Restaurant we go back to on a regular basis, its just amazing. More of a homely feel than a fine dining restaurant, yet the quality of food and the pairing of flavors is what brings us back night after night!
The menu is a little bit different here, they do small plates (entree size) and then large share plates for 2 or more people.

Stand Out Dish -- Tataki Tuna

Selection of Fresh Oysters, Asahi Beer Battered Oysters & Tempura Oysters

Amazing Panni Bread with Warm Olive Oil & Salted Butter

Seafood Stew with Bugs, Prawns, Scallops & More
We have also eaten, the roast organic chicken (amazing so juicy), Slow cooked Lamb (very rich) and the Scallops (very nice)

Once again, a venue with a great view of the Sydney Harbor Bridge and good but not great food. Defiantly not worth the $195 pp price tag for the Degustation.
